It is not a rare wood, but most Stans of these trees are owned by the pencil companies. It smells like your first grade pencil sharpener when you're working with the wood! Incense cedar is somewhere between Sitka, Spruce and western red cedar in terms of strength, rigidity and projection. It shares the best qualities of both.
